HUBBALLI: A government primary school in Maidan area of Gitanicahal area in the district, which is more than a century old, has been vandalised by miscreants. The classroom meant for Classes 4 and 5, was destroyed overnight.
Locals have expressed anguish over the vandalism of the school, which has been running for over a century. Alumni are also upset over the way the school is destroyed. Locals are demanding an investigation into the matter.
MLA Mahesh Tenginakai inspected the damage at the school, and education department officials are conducting an investigation.
