BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Abdul Ahad, raided the central jail at Parappana Agrahara early today.
Over 100 police personnel, led by the DCP, carried out the raid after complaints that some notorious rowdies inside the jail were using phones to threaten others.
Police thoroughly searched the jail premises and the search operation was carried out for over three hours. Some mobile phones and chargers were seized during the raid.
