BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested six people who were involved in illegal gambling and seized Rs 85 lakh in unaccounted cash in two bags.
The CCB also seized Rs 1.50 lakh which was on the gambling table. The six men were arrested from Park West Apartment in Binnypet under JJ Nagar police limits.
The owner of the flat, where the bundles of money were found in bags, managed to escape. The CCB police seized total of Rs 86,87,800.

Police Commissioner B Dayananda said the owner of the house is the same person who had claimed that someone robbed him of 3.5 kg of gold on the City Market flyover and filed a complaint at Cottonpet police station. Later it was revealed that it was stage-managed act, he said.
