BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested more individuals for sending obscene messages to actress Ramya on social media and sent them to Parappana Agrahara jail. The number of people caught for sending obscene messages to Ramya has risen to 11.
The CCB police have arrested nine people from different districts, including Vijayapura, Chitradurga and Bengaluru, and two more youths from North Karnataka. The arrested accused are reportedly engaged in small jobs.
Ramya had provided details of over 40 accounts in her complaint, and the CCB police have obtained information about 11 accounts so far, leading to the arrest of 11 people. They have also obtained information about more than 10 Instagram accounts and are conducting a thorough search.
Some of the accused have approached the court, while others have deleted their comments and gone into hiding. The police are now working to track down the accused by identifying their tower locations and are planning to apprehend them.
