BENGALURU: The state government has initiated a comprehensive social, economic and educational survey across the state. On September 28, despite being a Sunday, government officials will visit homes to conduct the survey on the directions of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
In just five days, approximately 4,00,000 homes have been surveyed, and technical issues that arose in Bengaluru, such as discrepancies with Bescom meters and house numbers, location tracing and OTP issues, have been resolved.
The survey is currently under way in Bengaluru Urban district, while areas under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) are expected to begin the survey in the first week of October, following staff training on September 29.
The survey will continue on Sunday in the Bengaluru Urban areas, and it will be mandatory for homeowners and tenants, who are willing to participate in the voluntary survery, to keep their Aadhaar cards ready.
