CHIKKABALLAPUR: Amidst the political tug-of-war between Chikkaballapur Congress MLA Pradeep Eshwar and Chikkaballapur BJP MP Dr K Sudhakar following the suicide of zilla panchayat contractual car driver Babu M, a case has been registered at the Chikkaballapur town police station against three of the MLA’s aides for caste abuse and using vulgar languange.
A case had earlier been registered against the BJP MP and two others following Babu’s suicide based on his death note. Babu had mentioned that the names of Dr Sudhakar and two others — Nagesh and Manjunath — in his death note. He was a car driver of the zilla panchayat chief accounts officer.
Now, following a poster war between the supporters of the two leaders, a case has been registered against Vinay Bangari, Hameem Sudhakar, Deepu and Saleem, under teh SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
On the other hand, a case has also been registered against the MP’s supporters including City Municipal Council president Gajendra, his brother Ravi, sister-in-law Shobha and Muniraju for allegedly assaulting Hameem and issuing death threats.
