CHIKKAMAGALUR: A BJP leader filed a complaint against state Youth Congress president Mohammed Haris Nalapad for his remarks against the Modi surname on Thursday.
In his speech during a protest in support of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Nalapad reiterated, “All those with the Modi surname are thieves. What are you going to do about it? File a case against me? Go ahead”.

BJP leader Pradeep filed a complaint against Mohammed Haris Nalapad for making derogatory remarks against Modi at Sakarayapatna police station and JMFC court in Kadur taluk.
During the last Karnataka Assembly elections, Rahul Gandhi had made disparaging remarks against the Modi surname saying, “all thieves have Modi as the common surname”. Recently, he was disqualified as Wayanad MP by the Lok Sabha Speaker.
