CHIKKODI: A case has been registered against Endowment Minister Shashikala Jolle for violation of the Model Code of Conduct on the very first day it came into effect.
The minister was participating in a haldi-kumkum event organised by the Ranaragini Mahila Mandal at the municipal high school grounds in Nippani wherein over 4,000 women had participated. Shashikala Jolle is also the president of the Mahila Mandal.
The haldi-kumkum packets which were distributed had the BJP symbol and party MP Annasaheb Jolle’s picture printed on them. After the programme, food was also organised for the participants.
