BENGALURU: An FIR has been registered against three people for dereliction of duty, and a man was arrested for working in his mother’s place without any authorisation at the BBMP office in South End Circle.

The FIR was filed against three individuals—Sujatha, the office head, Kavita, a case worker; and Navin, Kavita’s son— at the Siddapura police station for misusing their authority.

The foul play was discovered during the surprise raid that was conducted by the Lokayukta police, led by Upa Lokayukta Justice B Veerappa on Friday. During the investigation, it was revealed that case worker Kavita had sent her son Naveen to work in her place.

Kavita had given her login ID and password to her son Naveen, allowing him to work in her stead. Additionally, Kavita also unofficially appointed Geeta as her assistant and were found to be working without authorisation.
