MANGALURU: The Konaje police have registered a case against the owner of a Facebook page after an objectionable post was put up supporting Tuesday’s Pahalgam terrorist attack on tourists at the Baisaran meadows.

The post on the Facebook page with the name ‘Nichu Mangaluru’ claimed that the Srinagar incident would not have happened if Chetan Singh had been hanged publicly for the 2023 killing of three Muslim men in Palgarh, Maharashtra.

The post sparked widespread outrage and Satish Kumar, a resident of Ullal, lodged a complaint with the Konaje police who registered a case under Sections 192 and 353(1)(b) of BNS. They are now on the lookout for the person whose picture is displayed on the Facebook page profile.
