SHIVAMOGGA: The police have arrested a carpenter for manufacturing seven country-made guns illegally in his house at Bhadrapura village in Shikaripura taluk.
Lakshmanappa was making guns in his spare time, and the police received a tip-off about it. They raided his house and seized seven single-barrel guns, along with other materials used for manufacturing guns.
The police have booked Lakshmanappa under the Arms Amendment Act and he has been remanded to judicial custody.
