Car owner drives up wrong way on ITPL Road, attacks person for filming act

The car driver was filmed driving on the wrong side of ITPL Road.

BENGALURU: A car owner, who was driving on the wrong side on ITPL Road in Whitefield on Monday night, attacked a person who was filming the incident.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), @NammaWhitefield wrote, “Wrong Way Driving & Road Rage! On ITPL Rd, Whitefield. @ Orbis restaurant. https://maps.app.goo.gl/gjHpvFTV2rvXgcHb7. Driver attacks person filming violation. Reg plate: KA53 MK 5032 Pls punish violator @DgpKarnataka @cpblr @dcpwhitefield @wfieldps @jntcptraffic @wftrps @DCPTrEastBCP”.

Responding to this, @WhitefieldWard posted, “Disturbing to see the recklessness and rash behaviour on roads by supposedly educated people. Strict detection and enforcement required. @alokkumar6994 pls install AI cameras on all streets to catch offenders. @dcpwhitefield pls punish road rage offenders severely. @DgpKarnataka”.

 

The Whitefield police have seized the car.

Additional Director General of Police (Traffic and Road Safety) Alok Kumar, responding to the post, said, “Appropriate action will be taken soon”. Hours later, the Whitefield traffic police (@wftrps) posted, “FIR regarding the complaint is registered and vehicle seized”. ADGP Alok Kumar responded saying, “Well done @DCPTrEastBCP @wftrps. Appreciate quick action”.
