KOLAR: A speeding car hit a pole on the median and crashed on to the other carriageway at Malur in the district. However, the occupants of the car escaped with minor injuries. The incident occurred on July 30, and a CCTV camera video of the incident is doing the rounds on social media now.
The accident occurred in front of Vamshodaya Hospital on the Malur-Bengaluru Road. In the video, the car can be seen hitting a pole on the road median and toppling over to land on its side on the other side of the road. The car belongs to one Sadanand and he, along with his wife and two children were in the car at the time of the accident.
It is said that Sadanand, who was speeding, tried to avoid a pothole on the road and ended up flipping the vehicle. Immediately after the accidents, locals rushed and helped the family get out of the car and then put the vehicle back on its wheels.
