BENGALURU: A car, being driven by a group of drunk youths, crashed into the median on the Passport Office road on Adugodi late on Sunday night. It is said that the occupants of the car were returning from a weekend party when the accident occurred.
A man and two women were in the car which was being driven at high speed. Luckily, no one was seriously injured in the incident. The front airbags of the car had deployed due the impact.
The Adugodi police found beer cans and plastic bottles in the car which had a West Bengal registration number. The police later sent the women home in an autorickshaw while the injured man was sent to hospital.
Locals said that the rashly driven car could have hit other cars or two-wheelers resulting in more serious consequences. A food delivery agent claimed that he was saved as he slowed down on seeing the rashly driven car.
Some residents pointed out that speeding and reckless driving on the road has become a matter of concern and urged the police to take steps to curb such incidents.
