BENGALURU: A car collided with a high-mast electric pole on the runway at Kempegowda International Airport early on Sunday morning. The car’s front was severely damaged in the collision.
The car was carrying staff for runway duty when the driver lost control, resulting in the accident. Fortunately, the staff inside the car, including the driver, escaped unharmed.
Last Friday, a Tempo Traveller passenger van had scraped the undercarriage of a parked IndoGo aircraft. The series of accidents has raised concerns among airport staff.
