BENGALURU: Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi leader Mohan has called for a campaign to boycott halal-certified products ahead of Deepavali.
“Efforts are being made to regulate India’s economy through halal certification and gain control over the parallel Islamic economy. Not only meat, but also cosmetics, medicines, clothing, food and other items are halal certified in the country. Thousands of crores of rupees are being used for terrorist acts by making halal certification mandatory on all products across India,” said Mohan in a video message.
“Halal certification is dangerous and a threat to the security of our country. The Central government should not give permission to this and the public should also boycott such products. It is against our Constitution. Let’s celebrate halal-free Deepavali. The Hindu community should boycott halal products during Deeepavali celebrations. Hindu festivals should be celebrated with Hindus. Do not celebrate the festival with those who do not respect Hinduism,” he added.
