BENGALURU: The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Cabinet has approved the redevelopment of the Brindavan Gardens at KRS under PPP model at a cost Rs 2,633 crore.
The project includes the development of a fantasy park, toll gate, parking, walking track, boating lake, amphitheater, Kaveri statue, welcome arches, Meena Bazaar, jungle track, doll museum, penguin park, indoor amusement park, glass bridge, wax museum, aroma garden, and a special park for children, paragliding, water plane, botanical garden, laser show project wall, helipad, and Jaiho fountain.

As per the plan, Brindavan Gardens will be upgraded in the style of a fantasy park. The Water Resources Department has taken up this project and the cabinet has approved the proposal of Deputy CM DK Shivakumar. There will be a special park for kids, parasailing, water plane, botanical garden, laser show project wall, helipad and Jaiho fountain.
Additionally, the Cabinet has approved the allocation of 2.64 acres of CA site in the KIADB’s Davangere Gammanagatti Industrial Area to the Lok Shikshan Trust. It has also approved the establishment of the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation.
The Cabinet has given its approval for the establishment of a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) 2.0 at an estimated cost of Rs 16 crore and construction of hostel buildings by PWD in 15 taluks across the state at an estimated cost of Rs. 105 crores.
The Cabinet has given its approval for the recruitment of pre-university college lecturers and has reduced the eligibility criteria from 55 per cent to 50 per cent.
The Cabinet has agreed to give special opportunity to all the candidates who have applied for the Gazetted Probationary Recruitment Examination for the year 2017-18. It also gave its nod for providing a special opportunity to apply for Gazetted Probationers Examination 2023-24 by relaxing the age limit by two years
