BENGALURU: The state Cabinet approved splitting Bengaluru into five civic bodies. The Cabinet has also approved a suggestion of creating the Greater Bengaluru Authority, headed by former bureaucrat B S Patil.
The proposals were expected to be tabled in the assembly today. Additionally, the Cabinet has also given its nod to pass resolutions in the legislative assembly against the Centre’s three key issues including opposing the NEET, condemning delimitation of legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies, and opposing the ‘one nation, one election’ concept.
