BENGALURU: A group of youths, still reeling from New Year celebrations, got into a scuffle with a cab driver near Corporation Circle around 3.15 am on Thursday and thrashed him for questioning them about causing damage to his vehicle.
The altercation began when the cab was grazed by the youths. When the cab driver questioned them, the youths allegedly used abusive language. The situation escalated, with the youths attacking the driver and other drivers who tried to intervene.
The driver was thrown to the ground and beaten by over 10 people. Witnesses reporting the youths were intoxicated and aggressive. The brawl caused chaos on the busy road, with the driver left struggling to defend himself.
