Businessman lodges complaint against wife alleging black magic, threat to life

BENGALURU: A city businessman has lodged a complaint against his wife and mother-in-law alleging black magic and threat to life after he found out that they had got some voodoo done and had mixed some substances in his food.

Vasanth was away on a business trip when his wife Lalitha and her mother Savithramma consulted an astrologer, Nagendra, in Attiguppe and one Babu who performs ceremonies in the cemetery, to perform black magic at their house.

When Vasanth returned from his trip, he found lemons, coconuts which had been used in ritual, and vermillion all around the house. Suspecting something was amiss, he contacted Globe Detective Agency, who submitted a report to him stating that the wife and mother-in-law had performed black magic in the house.

In his complaint before a court, Vasanth also alleged that the duo had mixed some banned substances in his food and had ttreatened him of life. Based on the court order, the Cubbon Park police have registered a case under the Karnataka Prevention and Eradication of Inhuman Evil Practices and Black Magic act, 2017 and taken up further investigation.
