BENGALURU: At least 40 passengers were injured, three of them severly, after a bus fell on to the service road along Bengaluru-Chennai highway near Karukampatti in Hosur district of Tamil Nadu.
The injured are being treated at Government hospital Hosur. The bus was traveling from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, to Bengaluru when the driver lost control, and the bus overturned into a ditch alongside the highway.
Three passengers suffered with serious injuries and were hospitalised, while 40 others sustained minor injuries. The injured were taken to the government hospital in Hosur for treatment. The Uthanpalli police visited the spot and registered a case.
In nother accident, an electric car crashed into a divider near Dinnur Cross on the Annekal-Attibele main road when the driver lost control over the vehicle. The incident took place on the Outer Ring Road in Anekal.
The car was reportedly traveling at high speed when it crashed into the divider, triggering the deployment of airbags. Fortunately, no one was injured or killed in the accident.
The Anekal roads are known for their potholes and vehicles often travel at high speeds while trying to avoid them, which can lead to accidents. The incident occurred in the Anekal police station limits.
