BENGALURU: A wave of horror has swept through the Banaswadi area in the city after multiple animals, including cats and dogs, were found brutally killed and mutilated in a vacant lot. The gruesome incident has left residents shaken and fearful, with many questioning the presence of such cruelty in the city.
The bodies of the animals, including kittens and a dog, were found with severe injuries, with some even hung from trees. The incident has sparked outrage and fear among locals, who are demanding justice for the innocent animals.

According to residents of Puttamma Layout, the animals had been going missing in the area over the past few days, and the discovery of their mutilated bodies has created a sense of terror. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter, but so far, no arrests have been made.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of pets and animals in the area, with many residents expressing fear for their own safety. The police have assured that they will do their best to catch the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
“It happened about three days ago and we don’t know why the animals were killed. We feed these animals and trust the animals. I have been living here for the last five years and such a thing had never happened. Some animals were cut into pieces, I couldn’t even bear to see it. The police claim that dead dogs were brought here”, said Stella, a resident.
“The animals were killed brutally. There were about 15 dogs in our locality, but there are only two now. I came to know about the killing on Wednesday evening and we have filed a complaint with the police”, said an animal rights activist.
“I can’t even imagine how somebody can so cruelly dismember the animals. I have also had pet dogs and I can’t fathom how someone can be so cruel. If animals can be treated brutally, we can’t imagine what will happen to people”, said John Christopher, another resident.
