BENGALURU: Christmas is just hours away and the countdown for New Year is on. Bengaluru is all set to celebrate and the city’s Brigade Road and Church Street are buzzing with excitement. Brigade Road has transformed into a vibrant spectacle and is lit up with colourful lights, giving it a festive look.

Like every year, this year too, special lighting arrangements have been made on Brigade Road to welcome 2026. The Brigade Road Shop Owners’ Association has spent Rs 15 lakh in decorating the 400-metre stretch with high-end lights, making it a visual treat. The lights stretch from the MG Road entrance to the end of Brigade Road creates a mesmerising display.

As the festive season approaches, crowds are flocking to Brigade Road to soak in the atmosphere and capture selfies amidst the dazzling lights. “We are here with family, enjoying the lighting since we can’t make it on New Year’s Eve”, said a resident of the city.

The street’s transformation is a feast for the eyes at night, but this time it’s even more spectacular. The moving lights are a major draw, attracting people of all ages. Therefore, the crowd has increased to see these moving lights, and people are busy taking selfies.

“We will not be able to celebrate New Year in the CBD”, said many, while expressing happiness that they came and enjoyed it with their families on Christmas eve.
