Kolar District administration bans pig farming after a Brain fever case broke out

KOLAR: A case of brain fever (Japanese Encephalitis) has been detected at Thotli village in the district, following which the Health Department is on high alert.

The Health Department is on high alert and officials are sensitising parents to vaccinate their children.

Ever since the case came to light, there is a sense of panic and fear among the villagers. The district administration has imposed a ban on pig breeding and farming around Thotli village.

The Gram Panchayat has been asked by the Health Department to maintain cleanliness in the village and to sensitise the villagers to vaccinate their children aged between one and fifteen years.
