CHIKKAMAGALURU: A boy’s addiction to PUBG led to the death of his mother at the hands of his father at Hagalkhan Estate in the taluk.
Imtiaz, a estate hand, got into an argument with his son over the latter’s addiction to the online game. In his anger, he took a gun belonging to the estate and threatened to kill the boy.
In a drunken state, Imtiaz fired from the gun and his wife Maimuna (40), who came in between the father and son to protect the latter, was hit by the bullet.
The couple’s older son shifted Maimuna to hospital, but she died enroute. The Rural police have arrested Imtiaz and registered a case.
