BELAGAVI: The case of the MBA graduate, who committed suicide by hanging at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Nehru Nagar here, has taken a twist with the police arresting her boyfriend Akash.
The police investigation has revealed that Aishwarya was in a relationship with accused Akash Chadachan, who was already in a relationship with another woman. This love triangle led Aishwarya into depression and ultimately, her suicide. She committed suicide on March 25 between 6:30 and 7:30 pm due to this issue.
Aishwarya, a native of Vijayapura, was in a relationship with Akash since their college days. Akash was working in a private company in Belagavi, so she had also come to the city for an internship in a company in Belagavi and had been living in a PG accommodation in Nehru Nagar for the past three months. However, Akash had got into a relationship with another woman, which had devastated Aishwarya.
Before committing suicide, Aishwarya was seen on CCTV camera talking to her friend and going to her room. It is suspected that the breakup may have led to the suicide.
On the day of the incident, Aishwarya had sent a message to Akash and his girlfriend, stating that they both were responsible for her death. Akash had then come to the PG accommodation, broken the door, and stolen Aishwarya’s phone to destroy evidence.
The police have arrested Akash and are investigating the matter further. The police are also looking for Akash’s woman friend, who had accompanied him to the PG accommodation.
The exact reasons behind Aishwarya’s suicide will be revealed only after the police investigation is complete. A case has been registered at the Belagavi APMC police station. The police are checking the call details of Aishwarya’s mobile and more details are expected to emerge as the investigation unfolds.
