MANGALURU: Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, who was on a two-day visit to Kukke Subrahmanya in Kadaba taluk, a popular pilgrim centre, offered special pujas at the temple. Katrina Kaif arrived early on Tuesday and stayed overnight at a lodge.
At 6 am on Tuesday, Katrina Kaif, who was spotted wearing a mask and covering her head with a veil, had darshan at the temple and then proceeded to the Adi Subrahmanya temple. Later, she participated in the mass Sarpa Samskara puja conduted in a hall along with others. After puja, she had lunch at the VIP dining hall and was accompanied by a few others.
On Wednesday morning, Katrina took part in the Ashlesha Bali puja, which was held in the morning, and in the Naga Pratishte puja in the afternoon. Katrina Kaif had booked for the Sarpa Samskara puja online and had requested the temple authorities not to publicise her visit.
Aravind Ayyappa Sutagundi, the CEO of Sri Kshetra Kukke Subrahmanya, said Katrina took part in the Sarpa Samskara puja on Tuesday and Ashlesha Bali and Naga Pratishte puja on Wednesday. “Vicky Kaushal did not come, but his parents took part in the pujas”, he added.
About seven months ago, Katrina had visited the Koragajja Moolasthana at Kuttaru and offered prayers. Last month, she also visited Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh Mela.
