KALABURAGI: The body of a 22-year-old college student, who had jumped into the backwaters of the Bennethora dam near Kurikota in a bid to commit suicide, was fished out from the water on Wednesday.
The deceased Sakshi Uppar hailed from Bhusanagi village in Kamalapura taluk. She was reportedly upset over constant harassment from a youth, identified as Abhishek Malage.
The youth had reportedly shared Sakshi’s photos on social media, which had distressed her. Her body was found by the Fire and Emergency Services personnel afer a two-day search. A case has been registered at the Mahagaon police station.
