BENGALURU: In some cheer for cricket lovers, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will run additional buses on all the five days when the ongoing World Cup matches will be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here.
Matches will be held in Bengaluru on October 20 and 26, November 4, 9 and 12. The BMTC will run buses to important locations including Kadugodi, Yelahanka, Kengeri, Nelamangala, Bagalur and Hoskote.
In a press release, BMTC said buses will be run from the Chinnaswamy Stadium to Kadugodi via HAL and Hoodi Road; to Sarjapur via Agara and Dommasandra; Electronics City via Hosur Road; Bannerghatta National Park via Jayadeva Hospital; Housing Board quarters via MCTC and Nayandahalli; Nelamangala via Yeshwantpur; Janapriya Township via Magadi Road; Yelahanka 5th Stage via Hebbal; Hegde Nagar and Yelahanka via Nagawara and Tannery Road; to Bagalur via Hennur Road and Hoskote via Tin Factory.
Meanwhile, Hindu outfits have planned to stage a protest with ‘Go Back Rizwan’ placards on October 20 when Australia will clash with Pakistan. Mohammed Rizwan had offered prayers on the ground after scoring a century against the Netherlands. He had also dedicated the win against Sri Lanka to Palestine.
