BENGALURU: A BMTC bus crashed into a tree after the driver felt giddy and lost control in RT Nagar traffic police limits on Wednesday night.
The accident occurred around 10.30 pm and since it was the last trip, there were only about 15 passengers in the bus at that time. Three of the passengers sustained some minor injuries and were treated at a hospital.
The driver later brought the bus to the RT Nagar traffic police station himself. A case has been registered.
In a separate incident, a drunk driver of a Mahindra Thar SUV crashed into a barricade near the Rajajinagar Metro station on Wednesday night. The barricade was completely smashed due to the impact.
The driver Vinay was alone at the wheel and luckily, there were no vehicles on the road at the time of the accident. The Malleswaram police subjected him to an alcohol test and the driver was found to have consumed alcohol in excess of permissible limits. A case has been registered against him.
