BMTC bus in serial accident leaves one dead, four injured on Bannerghatta road

The BMTC bus was involved in a serial accident on Bannerghatta Main Road.

BENGALURU: One person was killed and four others were seriously injured after a BMTC bus was involved in a serial accident near Parijatha Hospital on Bannerghatta Road on Thursday. The accident occurred when the driver tried to avoid a motorcycle rider who came in the way.

The bus hit two motorcycles and a goods vehicle before coming to a stop. Some of the passengers were thrown out of the bus due to the impact. The deceased was identified as Prasad Rao (60), who hailed from Andhra Pradesh.

Among those injured were a pedestrian, two motorcycle riders and one bus passengers. The Bannnerghatta police visited the spot and have registered a case after arresting the driver. A crane was later brought in to remove the wrecked bus, motorcycle and the goods vehicle.
