BENGALURU: In yet another instance, a BMTC bus driver was attacked and abused by a two-wheeler rider on Nrupathunga Road on Wednesday evening for allegedly not giving him way to pass.
The bus, belonging to the Kothanur Dinne depot, was on its way from Majestic to CK Palya when the incident occurred. In CCTV footage available from inside the bus, the two-wheeler rider, identified as Mohammed Fazal, can be seen abusing the driver Kushal Kumar and then assaulting him and tugging at the bus driver by the collar. He also prevented the driver from moving the bus ahead.
Following the incident, the bus driver lodged a complaint with the Halasur Gate police station who have registered an FIR and are on the lookout for the attacker.
