BENGALURU: A Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus, heading from Majestic to Kadugodi, caught fire near HAL Main Gate around 5.15 am on Friday.
The bus, which had over 20 passengers on board, started emitting smoke from the engine while it was moving, and a fire broke out. Acting quickly, the bus driver got all passengers to safely evacuate without any casualties.
The fire spread rapidly, but fortunately, HAL firefighting personnel arrived promptly and extinguished the flames. The incident occurred within the HAL police station jurisdiction.
