BENGALURU: The Yellow Metro Line has reached its final stage. While all preparations are complete and the tracks are ready for the trains, the delay in supply of the train sets has become a major hurdle. The public is eagerly waiting for the line to become operational at the earliest and the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is also working tirelessly to meet this demand.
Sharing some snapshots from the launch of the first trainset for Namma Metro’s Yellow Line at Titagarh, Kolkata – a proud moment for Bengaluru’s urban mobility journey.

Once the testing is complete, the line will be ready for commercial operations. The BMRCL has written to the central and state governments to finalise the lauch date. The 19.5 km stretch from RV Road to Bommasandra will have 16 Metro stations. Initially, trains will run every 30 minutes, and the frequency will be increased once more trains are added to the fleet.
The BMRCL plans to operate trains every 30 minutes, but with only two trains available, it will take around 30 minutes to complete one trip. With four trains, the frequency can be increased, but for now, passengers will have to make do with the 30-minute frequency until September or October.
