UDUPI: A blue whale got caught in the fishing net of a purse seine boat in the Arabian Sea off the Malpe coast in Udupi district. Blue whales are considered a hindrance to deep-sea fishing.
In a video, fishermen from the purse seine boat and another fishing boat can be seen making attempts to fee the blue whale from the net. The blue whale is set free and swims nto the sea.
Blue whales can be dangerous for fishermen when they set out deep-sea fishing for 10-15 days.
