BENGALURU: In the latest instance surrounding the controversy over screening of the BBC documentary ‘India-The Modi Question’, despite the Union Government blocking its airing, it was screened at the All India Students Association (AISA) office on Infantry Road in Bengaluru on Saturday night.

The student body had earlier announced that it was screening a documentary, but had not mentioned the name. Suddenly, on Saturday night the AISA screened the banned documentary.

Aratrika Dey, a member of AISA tweeted saying that about 40 students watched the documentary at the office of the student body and later took part in a discussion on communalism. However, the AISA has refused to come out with an official response.

After the government barred its airing on the internet, the documentary was screened by Leftist groups at the University of Hyderabad, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, Aligarh Muslim University, Jadhavpur University and by the Congress in Kerala.
