BIDAR: Incumbent minister Prabhu Chavan on Saturday, who was trailing in the counting of votes, broke down and blamed Union minister Bhagwant Khubha for his defeat.
“I am very hurt. During the Lok Sabha election, I worked for him in all Assembly constituencies and I helped him right from getting the ticket. But he got our party workers to resign to ensure my defeat. Being a Union minister, he shouldn’t have done so. I will complain to all the senior leaders against him”, Chavan said amid tears.
Further, he said, “I used to win with a margin of 30,000 votes because of my work. Being a Union minister, Bhagwant Khubha has betrayed the mother (BJP). He used to call up party workers and threaten them not to campaign for me”, Chavan said, while accusing Khubha of harassing him.
