KALABURAGI: A BJP worker was found hanging from a tree under suspicious circumstances at Basanthapura in Chincholi taluk on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Ramu Rathod (45), a resident of Salagara Basanthapura.
Ramu was a polling agent at a booth during the Assembly elections held on Wednesday and was involved in the electioneering process till Wednesday evening. However, he did not return home at night and his body was found on the outskirts of the village on Thursday morning.
A case has been registered at the Chincholi police station.
