KOPPAL: The BJP plans to open party offices in all the districts across the country, party national president Jagat Prakash Nadda said here on Thursday.

Speaking after inaugurating the party office in Koppal and virtually inaugurating 10 other party offices in different parts of the state, Nadda said is a Punya Bhoomi of Ram Bhakt Hanuman and that he was blessed to be here. Earlier, party workers in the districts would not even have a place to sit, but now 10 offices have been simultaneously inaugurated, he said.

Stating that the BJP is the only national party working for nation building, Nadda recalled the sacrifices and struggles of many past leaders. “The BJP treats people of all sections equally. The party is like our family, but for the Congress, one family is the party”, he remarked.

India assuming the presidency of the G20 is a matter of pride and delegates coming to Bengaluru or other parts of India will be thrilled. The country from where the coronavirus spread is still struggling, but India has overcome the pandemic, he noted.

Taking on the state Congress leadership, Nadda said Siddaramaiah is dividing society while D K Shivakumar is getting embroiled in fresh corruption cases every other day. “Let’s go to the people with our progress report card. History was created at Kempegowda International Airport which no other party could have achieved”, he added.

The senior leaders took part in some rituals.

Speaking about the double-engine government, he said various schemes like the Jal Jeevan Mission, health insurance, Ujwala Yojana have been implemented. “The Karnataka govrnment has launched the Vidya Nidhi scheme for children of farmers which has benefited seven lakh families”, he said. The BJP government is working for the betterment of Dalits, youths and farmers and the Basavaraj Bommai government has continued with the schemes implemented by the B S Yediyurappa government, he added.

All other parties, including the Congress, only enriched themselves and their families and indulged in largescale corruption, he said. Targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, Nadda said, “It is Bharat Todo Yatra, it is to repent for what their forefathers did to divide the country”. “Who tried to divide Kashmir from the rest of India? You should ask your grandfather. The Modi government took the tough decision to repeal Article 370. People in JNU speak about breaking India and hail Afzal Guru. People who chant ‘tukde tukde’ are part of Rahul Gandhi’s yatra. The Congress has aligned with break India forces”, he charged.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said it is a record that 10 offices of the party were opened simultaneously and this has energised the cadre. “Seeing the crowd that has gathered here, it seems like the wind is in BJP’s favour. Ours is a party with dedicated workers and a leadership which has been recognised at the international level”, he added.

Praising his predecessor, Bommai said B S Yediyurappa built the party in the state by working hard for 25 years and visiting every village. “The party has Yediyurappa’s blessings. The Congress will bite the dust in the upcoming Assembly election”, he said, while targeting Congress leader Siddaramaiah and his government over issues of internal reservation and irrigation.

In his address, former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said that if the BJP wins five seats in Koppal district, then the party is sure to get 140+ seats across the state. “Karnataka is the only state where the Congress is alive. If voters bless the BJP, the Congress, which is already leaderless, will stop breathing. The party workers should take all the government programmes to every household and work to bring the BJP back to power”, he added.
