BENGALURU: Days after a city civil court ordered a stay on the release of a book titled ‘Siddu’s Real Dreams’, the ruling BJP seems to have found a soft spot to target Opposition leader Siddaramaiah.

Congress MLA and Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra Siddaramaiah has filed a plea alleging that the book, which was to be released by Higher Education Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, contained derogatory, imaginary and provocative writings against the Opposition leader.

The BJP is now all set to put together a team of legal eagles to get the stay on the release of the book vacated and relaunch the attack on Siddaramaiah. The party plans to organised a bigger event and launch the book again by involving families of Hindu activists who were killed, and those who were forcefully converted in the Kodagu region and getting them to speak at the event. The launch will happen not only in Bengaluru, but at different places simultaneously and the book will be released by various leaders.

Meanwhile, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, in a series of tweets said, “I am always ready to discuss our @INCKarnataka‘s achievements in the public forum. Let BJP leaders decide the time and place for the same. Don’t spread fake stories through your writings & posters, and embarrass yourself”. #ನನಸಾದ_ಕನಸು

In another, tweet he said, “I don’t care if they release a hundred books on the Congress government failures. I will not even stop it. But I won’t let you distort my picture, or crush my dreams for your perverted dreams”.
