BENGALURU: With confusion prevailing in the BJP ranks after senior leader B S Yediyurappa’s recent statement on ticket distribution, the party central leadership has now decided to adopt a new strategy to face the upcoming Assembly election.

While there was talk about the ‘Gujarat model’ being followed in Karnataka, and many senior leaders feeling uneasy about it, the party top brass seems to have decided that they will not go in for a ‘risky experiment’ that too when the polls are near.

The central leadership has already sent a firm message to the state leaders that the North Indian model will not be followed in Karnataka and a different strategy will be adopted here. The state leaders have also been told in no uncertain terms to avoid causing any sort of confusion and to focus on preparations for the upcoming election. However, what the new strategy is will be known only after a formal communication.
