BIDAR: A BJP leader and businessman, Sanjeev Kumar Sugur, said to be close to Basavakalyan MLA Sharanu Salgar, has gone missing from Basavakalyan town in Bidar district since Sunday, October 13.
Sugur, who has good connections with prominent district and state BJP leaders, left his residence without taking his mobile phone or car, which caused suspicion. CCTV footage shows him leaving his home, but despite searches in various places, he remains untraced.
A letter mentioning four people’s names in connection with a financial transaction has been found. A case has been filed at the Basavakalyan police station, and searches are ongoing.
