He said that, they will raise their voices on behalf of people, and they will work to ensure justice to the farmers, poor, and common people of the state. “The BJP will continue to protest until the CM rolls back the decision taken by the state government. We will do roadblocks across the state on Thursday along with JD(S). This is an anti-people government, the government has no concern for the poor. The government is driving the state towards a financial crisis. If the guarantee schemes are stopped now, they know that people will revolt against them. But the BJP will not let it go, we will teach them lesson”, he said.
The BJP leaders and workers mocked the state government with a funeral procession by carrying a bier on their shoulders to symbolise the government as a corpse, and the protesters shouted ‘Govinda’ against the chief minister and deputy chief minister.
Opposition leader R Ashoka, CT Ravi and other leaders were detained by police when they tried to gherao the CM’s residence with the bullock cart and block the road.
