BJP holds series of meetings on Saturday

BENGALURU: The core committee meeting of the BJP state unit was held under the leadership of party’s state in-charge secretary Radha Mohan Das Agarwal on Saturday. The meeting was attended by prominent leaders such as former CM B S Yeddyurappa, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, state president B Y Vijayendra, Opposition leader R Ashoka and others.

The leaders discussed various major issues, including the upcoming GBA elections, relief efforts for flood-affected areas, the party’s stance on the caste survey, and the ongoing “Potholes Fixing Campaign”. The party decided to continue the movement to close potholes, with MLAs being instructed to lead the efforts in their respective constituencies.

The BJP stated that while it doesn’t oppose the caste survey, it wants the survey to be conducted properly with adequate preparation to avoid confusion.

The party has decided to visit flood-affected areas and intensify its fight against the state government’s alleged neglect of farmers and marginalised communities. The party also decided to raise awareness about the benefits of the improved GST system and intensify its agitation against the smart meter scam.

The BJP decided to stand in solidarity with students who protested in Dharwad. The meeting concluded with a determination to intensify the party’s agitation against the state government’s policies and actions.

After the meeting, BJP General Secretary P Rajeev stated that the party’s “Potholes fixing campaign” has been successful and will continue from tomorrow. He instructed MLAs to lead the movement in their respective constituencies where it hasn’t started yet. Rajeev also mentioned that the core committee discussed the caste survey, stating that while the party doesn’t oppose it, they want it to be conducted properly with adequate preparation.

The BJP State Core Committee meeting discussed the state government’s failures, particularly its alleged neglect of farmers, Dalits, and marginalized communities. The party decided to launch a struggle against the government’s inaction, especially in flood-affected areas where over 16 districts have been impacted.

A team led by core committee members will visit these areas to assess the damage. The party also resolved to raise awareness about the benefits of the improved GST system and intensify its agitation against the smart meter scam. Additionally, the BJP decided to support and stand in solidarity with students who protested in Dharwad.
