BENGALURU: Amid the MUDA and Covid scams, another new scam has surfaced in Karnataka, involving a health checkup scheme for construction workers. A BJP delegation has filed a complaint with the Lokayukta, alleging a massive scam of Rs 47.99 crore.
The complaint states that health checkups were not conducted, but bills were raised dubiously. An ineligible company was allegedly awarded a tender, and funds were misused, the complaint said.
BJP MLC N Ravikumar has demanded the resignation of Labour Minister Santosh Lad, holding him directly responsible for the scam.
