BENGALURU: A two-wheeler rider died on Monday after he tried to overtake a BMTC bus and came under its wheels on Peenya 14th Cross.
The deceased has been identified as Deepak (30), a resident of Varanasi. He moved to Bengaluru three months ago and was working for SS Fab Tech company. The bus was travelling from NH4 to Kamakshipalya. Deepak was on his way home from work when he attempted to overtake the bus, but came under it and died. He was not wearing a helmet and he sustained serious head injuries due to which he died.
A case has been registered at the Peenya traffic police station. The police have detained the BMTC driver and are interrogating him.
