BENGALURU: Those heading out on their bicycles over the weekends better watch out. After pedestrians and other unsuspecting people, mobile phone thieves are now targeting cycling enthusiasts.
Mobile phone thieves are going after cyclists and snatching the devices, whether it’s fixed to the cycle, in the pocket, or in backpacks, especially on the stretch of the highway between Hoskote and Kolar on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
On Sunday, two motorcycle-borne men targeted a group of cyclists and made away with a mobile phone from one of them. The incident was captured on a camera worn by one of the cyclists.
The incident occurred in Hoskote police limits and cyclists complain that the police have been doing nothing to curb mobile phone thefts.
