BENGALURU: Bhavani Revanna, mother of former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna who is the prime accused in the obscene video case, who had filed for anticipatory bail in the kidnapping case, finally got interim bail on Friday.
The High Court had directed the special investigation team (SIT) to attend the hearing at 1 pm on Friday. The court ordered that SIT officials could keep her in custody only up to 5 pm. Bhavani should not be arrested by SIT and she should not enter KR Nagar taluk and Hassan, the court said while directed Bhavani to cooperate with the SIT officials during the investigation.
Earlier, Bhavani Revanna had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the kidnapping case in which her husband was earlier arrested. Bhavani had moved the Karnataka High Court seeking relief from arrest by SIT.
Her husband H D Revanna was arrested earlier in connection with a kidnapping case on April 29. He was granted conditional bail by a special court for people’s representatives.
