BENGALURU: Ahead of the monsoon season, the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Ltd (Bescom) has announced that it will receive complaints through WhatsApp in the city for speedy redressal.
The Bescom has announced WhatsApp numbers for Bengaluru East (8277884013), Bengaluru West (8277884012), Bengaluru North (8277884014), Bengaluru South (8277884011)and Bengaluru Rural district (8277884017). For safety related issues, customers send WhatsApp messages on 9483191212 for 9483191222. The regular WhatsApp number is 9449844640.
Bescom will also receive complaints via SMS on 9480816108, 9480816109, 9480816110, 9480816111, 9480816112, 9480816113, 9480816114, 9480816115, 9480816116, 9480816117, 9480816118 and 9480816119, a press release said.
The power utility supplies electricity to six districts and has announced separate WhatsApp number for the districts. These include Bengaluru city, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Kolar, Tumakuru, Davanagere and Chitradurga.
