Bengaluru school introduces lesson on actress Tamannaah Bhatia, draws parents’ ire

BENGALURU: A private school in Hebbal has stoked a controversy by introducing a lesson on actress Tamanna Bhatia (Tamannaah Bhatia) as part of the studies on the Sindhi community. Parents of students studying in the school have themselves opposed the move.

Tamannaah Bhatia has acted in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi movies and has also featured in hit songs. Parents of students have questioned the need for introducing a lesson on her in the syllabus and have complained to the Associated Managements of English Medium Schools in Karnataka (KAMS) demanding action against the school authorities.

Association secretary Shashikumar said the issue has come to their notice and assured that they would raise the issue with the Primary Education Department.
